Dolores Lyne is originally from Killarney, after art college in the South East she moved west to Galway over 20 years ago. Drawn to the West to work with its widescreen scale and accompanying islands. As a child, she had a print of Connemara on her wall, a wedding present from her Mother, and it seemed a magical place. Lyne has an affinity and fascination for water, both being in it and on it. Most recently she spent time digging below the surface of an uninhabited island off of Inisbofin as an embedded artist on an archeological dig. She moves across mediums as she would terrain using a variety of techniques to access her truth.
