Leonie King was born in Glaslough, County Monaghan. The family moved to Galway and restored Oranmore Castle from a ruin to a habitable home where Leonie now has her studio and home. Studying at the London school of Printing and Central School of Art formed the foundation of a journey involving exploration of both old and new technologies regarding print. A vibrant range of pigments collected and inspired by travel mingle with a richly textured print created by individual layers, each building and leaving its tonal mark on one another.
